Many people are unaware of the origins of Halloween. Formerly an ancient Celtic tradition celebrating the final harvest, it was also a way to welcome the darker time of the year. Samhain (pronounced “SAH-win”) represents the midway point between the equinox and the winter solstice. It is also the time of year where the veil between worlds is at its thinnest. So it is a great time to connect with your ancestors and loved ones who have crossed over to the other side. I recently had a visit from an owl🦉 Every time I see an owl I think of my grandfather. One, because he was a wise man who taught me a lot about life. Two, because the day he left this earth an owl came and sat right outside our window and connected with us for a long time. So now whenever I see an owl I feel it is a visit from grandpa. Pay attention to the natural world and see what messages come through! Thanks for the visit grandpa until we meet again…Have you ever had a visit from a loved one in the form of an animal or some other aspect of the natural world? If so let me know. I would love to hear your experience if you feel comfortable to share. Have a blessed holiday!
